Equest’s Angel Tree Needs Your Help!

EQUEST NEEDS YOUR HELP!

This is a call for handmade ornaments to be used in Equest’s Annual Angel Tree! Every year Equest has an Angel Tree to gather supplies for our wonderful therapy horses. We ask for donations of various horse care items and other materials needed around the barn and in the office. Our ornaments are traditionally made in house with a photo of one of our horses so that clients and volunteers can take home their favorite herd member and add it to their tree. This year we are searching for a creative and generous team that would be willing to donate their time, skills and materials to create these ornaments for Equest as a service project! Here are the details:

  • 100 total ornaments are needed (these hang in the Equest lobby at the Texas Horse Park and at the Dover Saddlery store)

  • We will provide a detailed list of our horses with their names and the amount needed of each one, should your group decide to continue to use a name on each ornament

  • We will also provide the photos of the horses, should your group chose to continue to incorporate a photo on the ornament

  • Deadline for the ornaments is November 1, 2018

Towards the end of the Angel Tree season we host our annual holiday party, Jingle Mingle, for our clients and volunteers to come by, pick up an ornament if they haven’t already, drop off goodies for the horses and enjoy hot chocolate out in the barn with music and a visit from the man himself!

Equest’s mission is to enhance the quality of life for children and adults with diverse needs by partnering with horses to bring hope and healing through equine assisted activities and therapies.
