One River School — The Pink Art Project: Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness

The Pink Art Project:
Supporting Breast Cancer Awareness

It is a testament to our One River team and community that they love the concept of combining art education with such an important mission. We get to raise money and awareness AND teach young artists how to use their creative voices to make a difference.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we have three really special programs in place to drive breast cancer awareness and raise money.

1) Teen Students across the country will make an original work of art for ”the Pink Art Project”. Each object celebrates the courage that one demonstrates dealing with breast cancer and it is a powerful lesson for students that allows them to channel their creative message into a cause.

2) We have commissioned an original “Pink Art Project” artwork and created a limited edition print by the renowned artist Liz Luisada. Please purchase one of these incredible limited edition prints … there are only 250 of them and Liz is truly one of the more compelling contemporary artists working today.

3) During the month of October we will exhibit all of our student work in public venues across the country where we will celebrate our student work and raise proceeds for Bright Pink.

I walk around all the time telling my team that we can “do well by doing good” and now we are about to launch our most meaningful effort to date.
