CALL TO ARTISTS: Spring Gallery Night is an event that occurs once a year during March. It is arguably our most popular opening of year where we anticipate more than 3000 visitors in a single night. We are seeking artists to display their work on our covered veranda on Gallery Night. Each artist must have their own shelfing/display system and since the veranda is covered, no tents are allowed. The veranda is fully lit, so artists do not need to bring their own lights. Artists need to be fully installed by 12pm on the 8th and deinstall at 9:30pm on the 30th. Specific time to begin install will be communicated after selection process has been made. Each artist will be given approx. a 10’ x 3’ footprint to install their booth in. All mediums accepted including oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, prints, drawings, mixed media, sculpture, installation, photography, and digital art with no size restrictions. All artwork must be original and must not infringe upon any copyright or the rights of any person.
Proposals from Artists need to include:
- Description of intended booth design
- 10 images of artworks
- Image list including title, size, medium and price
- 2 images of previous booths in art fairs
ABOUT FWCAC: Located at 1300 Gendy Street, the FWCAC is part of the most architecturally significant museum districts in the United States. The striking modern Herbert Bayer building (with a later O’Neil Ford addition) opened to the public in 1954 as home to one of the most prestigious and oldest collecting organizations in the state of Texas, the Modern Museum of Fort Worth. When, in 2002, the Modern moved down the street, the Fort Worth Community Arts Center opened. The building has exhibited world class art and supported the performing arts for more than half a century. The Arts Council manages the FWCAC, provides leadership and funding to local arts organizations through our competitive Grants Program and administers the Fort Worth Public Art program.
