Best of Texas Clay 2019 – Call for Artists

The Texas Pottery & Sculpture Guild invites you to apply for Best of Texas Clay 2019. We will accept applications for Best of Texas Clay 2019 only through the end of August. Exhibition dates October 4 – October 29, 2019

Biannually, the Texas Pottery & Sculpture Guild (herein referred to as TPSG or the Guild) hosts a show for the best examples of ceramic artwork created by artists residing in the state of Texas. The show is called The Best of Texas Clay, herein referred to as BOTC. The Best of Texas Clay – 2019 Exhibition will be hosted by Tarrant County College Northeast.

Theme:
The theme for this year’s BOTC competition is “Take Your Best Shot”, by that we mean, we are open to whatever ceramic artwork you would like to enter.

Awards:
The following cash awards will be made, Best in Show – $1,000, First Runner-Up – $500, Second Runner Up – $250 and a Best TPSG Member Entry $250. Each artist is eligible to win only one award. To be eligible for the Best TPSG Member Entry you must be a member before you apply for BOTC 2019.

If the level of entries and / or sponsorship exceeds our budget plan, the additional monies will be used for bigger and / or more awards. In 2017, our award budget was $2,000, we gave out $3,300 with a Best in Show award of $1,500.
