Four guided sessions in watercolor (or your chosen medium) – $125. Sessions are ongoing. If you miss a scheduled time or weather interrupts our plans, you can meet up again at a later date for a total of 4 classes. Classes are held in the DFW area in public parks on Fridays from 10am till 1pm, or Saturdays from 9am till noon. Brief demos will be followed by self-directed painting with individual instruction and feedback. Occasionally we may travel slightly further to take advantage of seasonal activities within 75 miles of Dallas. Dallas area parks that we will visit include:
Spring Creek Nature Preserve, Richardson
Spring Creek Forest Preserve, Garland
White Rock Lake Park, Dallas
Fair Park, Dallas
Turtle Creek Park, Dallas
Handouts, presentations and guides will be emailed ahead of the class and will be broken down into 4 groups: Materials and Supplies, Selecting a view, Composition & Contrast, Techniques
Because it is the perfect outdoor medium, the classes will focus on Watercolor, but most of the instruction will also apply to other mediums as well if you choose to work in pastel or opaque paint.
