August Programs at the Cedars Union

Next month we’ll hold our first public, in-person art workshop since February 2020! On August 28th join us in Beginning Basket Weaving with local sculptor Sarita Westrup. Sarita will teach students how to weave with round reed, constructing a small basket with a wall loop. See the list of programs below for more information and a link to purchase tickets.

Remember, ticket sales at The Cedars Union support both our mission and the teaching artist. Learn something fun while supporting artists in North Texas. https://www.cedarsunion.org/

Desks, chairs, shelves, boxes of office supplies from the 80’s…we’ve got ’em. The Boedeker building used to house an office supply company and we’ve got lots of old stuff that will be thrown out if not taken. Please help us by stopping by between 10am and 3pm to take some things off our hands, for free. You can use a dolly to take items to your car, but please come prepared to move items without the help of our staff and volunteers.
Sat. August 21: CU Member Critique

Each month members join in the age old practice of critique, giving feedback on new or in progress works of 2-3 of their peers. Members can attend in person or call in through Zoom.
This program requires a Cedars Union Membership. To learn more about being a CU artist, please visit our Join page.
