The 37th annual exhibit will be open to the public from MAY 14 – to JUNE 11, 2022 in the Main Gallery of the Irving Arts Center, 3333 N. MacArthur Blvd., Irving TX 75062. Gallery hours: Tuesday-Saturday: 12 pm-5 pm – No reservation necessary! Free to view! 86 works were accepted into the show by juror Billy Hassell from artists residing in five states: Arkansas, Louisana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. This year’s show includes eight media categories: acrylic, drawing (dry media), mixed media / other media, oil painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture / 3-D, and water media. You’re invited to the Reception & Awards Ceremony held Sunday, May 15th from 2-5 pm in the Main Gallery. The Ceremony will also be live-streamed by the Arts Center beginning at 3 PM for those unable to attend in person and will also be available for viewing later. $9200 in awards will be presented by the juror Billy Hassell. Our new Signature Artist for 2022, Kim Collins, will be recognized, as well as the other returning Signature Artists. Juror Billy Hassell is also being honored with an exhibit of his works in the IAC’s Focus Gallery: “Billy Hassell / Continuum: Paintings and Prints 1990-2020”.
