Every Tuesday in December (on the 6th and 13th) artist Junanne Peck will repeat her “Tuesday Art Shenanigans” at the Irving Art Association’s gallery at Jaycee Park Center for the Arts, 1975 Puritan Dr., Irving TX 75061. We’re making Artist Trading Cards With Artist Junanne Peck

ATC’s -Artist Trading Cards

ARTIST TRADING CARDS are miniature works of art created on 2 ½ X 3 ½ inch art pieces that are changed and collected worldwide. We will combine media and textural techniques and use a variety of inks, colored pencils, markers and collage materials. Get ready for the Trade.

We will also be carving erasers to make our own stamps to use on our ATC’S.

Junanne has also requested that all participants be vaccinated

Printmaking – Intaglio Drypoint With Artist Junanne Peck                                                         

Drypoint Printmaking

Drypoint is a very popular technique, and an ideal introduction to Intaglio printmaking processes. 

Artists will produce a printing plate(4”x6”) from an original drawing or design and will become familiar with printmaking processes, tools, and techniques using non-toxic water based Akua inks. The Prints created can be made into Cards, Small books and Journal pages or can stand alone to be framed.

Pop In and Make Tin Ornaments

Mexican Folk Art with Junanne Peck

See and touch some examples of Mexican Tin Art, and then make your very own painted tin ornament to take home with you. 

Participants will explore the vibrant and fascinating folk art of Oaxaca Mexico. 

Tin is a common material used in the popular arts of Mexico. 

We will be making tin ornaments out of tooling foil to display in windows, Holiday Trees, and on the wall. We will use tin ornaments from Mexico as patterns. A hammer and nail will be used to punch designs on their ornaments. You will go home with two or more ornaments.
