Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas is excited to announce the January 2023 edition of The CADD Bus Tour. These popular tours have been held for over a decade, allowing participants to gain exclusive insight into local venues of contemporary art. Guests are provided various food and drink options along the way and transported to each location on a private, luxury bus. Proceeds from CADD Bus Tours support the CADD Scholarship awarded to a graduating senior from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.Previous tours have visited prestigious private and corporate art collections, artistically significant urban areas, and various artists’ studios. Join host galleries, Pencil on Paper Gallery & Ro2 Art, for a unique experience, showcasing the variety of Dallas’ contemporary art world.The excursion will begin with a gallery tour and artist meet and greet at Pencil on Paper Gallery. The group will gather up with coffee and pastries. Participants will be able to view a two-artist exhibition featuring Dallas artists Victoria Brill and Maria Haag.The tour will continue to the Green Family Foundation’s art collection at their residence. The Green Family Art Foundation, established by Dallas-based collectors, Eric and Debbie Green and their son, Adam Green of Adam Green Art Advisory and led by Director Bailey Summers and Assistant Director Katherine Deloney, consists of more than 570 works by over 400 artists and is one of the largest collections of artworks by female artists, Black artists, LGBTQIA+, and emerging artists. Believing in the importance of bringing art and people together, the GFAF invites you to a private tour at their Dallas residence. |
The tour will continue with lunch provided on our luxury bus while traveling to Ro2 Art in The Cedars. Guests will meet artist-in-residence, Bartosz Beda and have a personal guided tour of the artist’s studio inside the gallery and his latest work. Guests will also view selected works by seven recent UNT graduates, providing a glimpse of what’s being created at one of Texas’ most prestigious art schools. The next stop will bring us to The Tin District, where residing artists will open their studios. This thriving artist quarter in West Dallas, a former industrial area, now houses galleries, art spaces, and more than 70 artist studios, attracting the best of Dallas’ contemporary artists as well as emerging talent. The tour will conclude at Ro2 Art’s new gallery in the Tin District. On view is Yuni Lee: Mindscapes alongside an exhibition of new works and favorites by Ro2 Artists.Your ticket purchase supports the CADD Scholarship and CADD Programming throughout the year.
