Each day will include an opening statement, demonstration, critiques and individual attention to final resolution of paintings. The first day of class will concentrate on drawing compositions: semi-real, real, abstract, and non-objective. This will include “Journey” directed compositions (compositions drawn through a series of steps led by the instructor) and canvas preparations. The next 3 days will be a variety of approaches to painting using the compositions. Each morning begins with one of Mr. Walton’s famous “art talks” and demos and ends with informative and helpful critiques to help achieve final resolution of each painting.
